Session Description
In this session, online teachers and program leaders will discuss strategies, practices, issues and needs for professional development for online teachers, focusing on both initial professional development as well as ongoing professional development for online and blended teachers.
Experienced online practitioners will share models and lessons learned in an interactive panel. Participants will also engage in several round table discussions to identify successful practices and address challenges online and blended teachers and programs face, and identify areas where the professional development needs of online and blended teachers may differ. Participants will review the iNACOL National Standards for Quality Online Teaching as a foundation for the session. Key takeaways from the session will be collected and shared.
